Logistics services for businesses: our environmental policy

The protection of the environment is of fundamental importance for Albatrans. Our goal is to continually reduce and minimize the environmental impact of our activities. How do we achieve this?

  • Choosing partners and transportation methods with the least possible environmental impact.
  • Preferring electronic documents and recycling paper and other materials, reducing the consumption of electricity, water, and gas. Investing in internal training to increase the environmental awareness of our personnel.
  • Complying with all environmental legislation and expecting the same from our suppliers.
  • Using an IT system that facilitates the control and application of legal, environmental, and operational requirements for every business process.
  • Incorporating a CO2 emissions calculator into our system, which is also available to our clients through our tracking system.
  • We believe that everyone’s contribution, no matter how small, is necessary to protect the Earth’s ecosystem. Therefore, we have joined the reforestation project of Treedom, planting a tree for each of our employees. We are committed to growing the Albatrans forest in the years to come with an ongoing program.

Our headquarters obtained its first UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 certification (environmental management system) on May 29, 2019.

We believe that as a company, we have responsibilities that go beyond mere business activities and the obligations imposed by the laws that regulate them.

These responsibilities concern the people who work with us and their families, as well as the local community in which we operate and of which we are an integral part. We pay particular attention to the well-being of our employees, not only in their workplace but by offering additional services related to health, with programs extended to other members of their families.

Our headquarters received its first EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility assessment in 2019.
